Calling all high rollers! Critical Role and their very own Darrington Press have revealed three exciting new titles that are coming to tabletops in the near future. Today, we’ll be looking into each of these new treasures and what we can expect from each of them.
Commonly known for their hit dungeons and dragons Youtube series, Critical Role have been branching out into new titles as their hunger for exciting new adventures grows stronger. In a recent ‘State of the Press’ video, Matt Mercer revealed the names of three new game titles and gave an insight into each. The first two of these announcements are new TTRPG systems that fans can explore:
Illuminated Worlds
Illuminated Worlds by Critical Games uses a D6 and is designed to be played as shorter campaigns. This system is also compatible with any type of setting which opens up a whole new world of potential adventures for players and fans to explore.
Daggerheart
Designed for long term campaign play and in-depth character progression; Daggerheart hopes to approach TTRPG’s from a new fresh perspective, and provide players with an adventure they’ll never forget.
And if they weren’t enough to whet your appetite, then maybe a new deck building addition to the Critical Role Darrington Press games will:
Queen By Midnight
A battle royale deck building game where players take on the role of powerful princesses fighting in a spell aligning free for all. However, time is of the essence, as players only have until the clock strikes midnight to prove themselves worthy of the title of Midnight Queen.
Although we only have a small insight into each of these exciting new Critical Role games, there will no doubt be more to come as Critical Role reveals more information about what to expect from each of them.
