NEWS: Dead Cells Rogue Lite Announced

Beheaded, headless, or forcefully separated; your time has finally come. You’ve traversed the biomes on PC and Console and lived to tell the tale, but a new challenge has arisen for you to take on. Dead Cells: The Rogue-lite Board Game.

This exciting tabletop take on Dead Cells is a Co-op roguelite experience for 1-4 players with games lasting around 45 minutes. Players can choose from a selection of 4 headless adventurers to take on this adventure.

Le Scorpion Masque (Turing Machine), along with an array of experienced designers; Antione Bauza (7 Wonders, Takenoko), Corentin Lebrat (Draftosaurus), Ludovic Maublanc (Conan, Ca$h and Guns), and Theo Riviere (Unlock: Epic Adventures) are all responsible for making this game a reality.

Much like in the video game, players will work their way through a variety of monster laden biomes. Use the cells they collect to purchase mutations along the way. And stick to the right path without straying off it. Failing to do so will bring a grizzly end to the players, however, that doesn’t mean the end of the road. Players will start back at the beginning of the game without the gold or equipment they collected, but they will still have their experience and knowledge of the grim horrors that lie ahead of them.

I’ve been a huge fan of Dead Cells since it was first released in early access and I’ve explored every punishing nook and cranny that world has to offer. So to see this gem of a game being brought to life on the table top brings me a lot of excitement. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be backing on day one for sure!

If you’re as excited for Dead Cells: The Rogue-lite Board Game as I am, you’ll be glad to know that it will be gracing us soon. How so I hear you say… Well, unfortunately we don’t know that much, but we do know that the Kickstarter will be going live later in 2023.
