Great news for fans of Istanbul as the latest game in the series has just been announced called Istanbul: Choose & Write.
This one to five player, 30 to 45 minute game, is once again designed by Rudiger Dorn and the publisher will be Pegasus Spiele.
Just like previous games in the series Istanbul and Istanbul The Dice Game, players are merchants who are trying to gain rubies by collecting goods and lira and making shrewd trades.
However, unlike the board game, in the Choose & Write each player has their own bazaar in front of them where players will mark off their choices as they play.
On your turn you can choose to play either a location card or a guild card. When you choose a location card all other players may also use the same cards action or an adjacent one. Alternatively you may choose to use a guild card which is for the active player only but is very costly to do so.
Due for release later in 2023 this game will be a great addition to the Istanbul series of games.
