NEWS Age Of Wonders 4 ANNOUNCED

Triumph Studios are going back to their fantastical roots this year. Returning to a traditional fantasy setting after embarking on a sci-fi version in 2019. They proudly announced that Age of Wonders 4 will be gracing us later this year.

Of course, with a new game, comes a cornucopia of new features and systems to be hyped about. To start with, Triumph has promised levels of storytelling that we’re not used to seeing in a 4X game. The choices and decisions that you make affect future opportunities and open up new paths to follow each turn.

It also includes empire customisation that allows you to create any type of empire that you can imagine. Want to create a clan of lovecraftian nightmares, or the elves from lord of the rings; this is your time to bring it to life!

However, eEmpires aren’t the only customisable option. You can create new realms and locations at the click of a button to bring your battles to the next level. Add the new event system, Pantheon and mod capability, and you have an Age of Wonders unlike any other.

I don’t know about you, but I’m sold! Thankfully, you’ll be glad to know that this dreamscape of a 4X strategy game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S this year on 2nd May 2023.
